Sr High Chemistry 20&30, Science 10 Teacher

Buffalo Trail Public Schools requires a part-time probationary (0.5 FTE) teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

Classes will run Monday to Friday from 12:26 pm to 3:27 pm.

The teaching assignment will include Senior High Chemistry 20&30 and Science 10 and additional duties as assigned by the principal.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
• Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
• Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students
• Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator
• A willingness to participate in extracurricular activities would be considered an asset

Marwayne Jubilee School (MJS) is a K-12 school that serves both in town and out of town students. We offer full courses to approx 200 K-12 students.
